1.01 Update


Just a small patch to address a bit of the feedback we've had about the game so far:

  • Improved jump detection - so now double jumps shouldn't get swallowed and the game should feel a lot more responsive.
  • Fixed texture flickering - some players were experiencing flickering black lines between tiles when moving, this should now be fixed.
  • Fixed some spelling mistakes.
  • Fixed pop-up message margins - the tiny margin around pop-up messages should now no longer be there.
  • Fixed scaling issues in credits scene - the size of the coin and the text should now be consistent regardless of the size of the window.
  • Changed some jumps in the 2nd to last scene - these jumps should now be a lot more consistent.
  • Improvements to the presentation of the WebGL player window on the itch page - WebGL watermark removed and generally it should now be a little cleaner.

We'd like to just say thank you to everyone who has played and enjoyed our little project so far. Your feedback has been incredibly helpful for the whole team and has given us some direction for the future of the game, which we all agree we'd like to take forward to a fully finished state. For the moment we won't be introducing any major features or additions, such as sound effects or music. As much as we would like to we don't think it would be in spirit of the game jam to add those until the judging period is over.

This was the first game jam that any of us have participated in and it has been fantastic so far. We have all spent a lot of time over the last weeks working hard on our respective areas and the experience we've gained has been tremendous. We hope that you all continue to enjoy the game and that your own jam experiences were as fruitful.
